Popular stainless steel products (admin posted on March 31st, 2012 )

The best and most expertly crafted stainless steel products are found in Japan. Japanese stainless steel companies ensure quality and superb performance of their products. There is no better place to look for stainless steel products than in Japan. For instance, if you need Inconel 601 hexagon bar, you can order it online in Japanese stainless steel websites. Most of the companies in Japan open their website to international buyers so they can get more orders. Now, buying Inconel 601 hexagon bar is more convenient and you do not have to travel to Japan to get it.

What is Inconel 601 anyway? Inconel 601 is a nickel chromium alloy, which is generally used for application that requires corrosion and heat resistance. The most important quality of this alloy is its high-temperature corrosion resistance. It can resist corrosion to up to 1250 degree Celsius. It can withstand conditions like cyclical heating and cooling afterwards without any sign of corrosion or breaking. This is due to the adherent oxide layer of Inconel alloy 601, which prevents spalling.

Aside from this, Inconel alloy 601 has great mechanical strength and has good aqueous corrosion resistance. It can be readily formed and welded. It has good carburization resistance as well as resistance to carbon-nitriding conditions. Inconel alloy 601 is resistant to elevated temperature and high sulfuric acid because of its high chromium content. It can prove to be quite useful and resilient at the same time.

Where is Inconel alloy 601 used? This alloy is used for trays and baskets that undergo heat treatments like carbon-nitriding or carburization.  It is also used in strand annealing, wire mesh belts, refractory anchors, radiant tubes and high velocity gas burners. Alloy 601 is used in the exhaust system of thermal reactors as well as in combustion chambers. In the power generation industries, Inconel alloy 601 is used in ashtrays and tube supports.

How can Japan bring back manufacturing? (admin posted on March 31st, 2012 )

Manufacturing in Japan is suffering from several issues mainly to do with the economy and high cost in production. However, it isn’t a hopeless situation not with the resilience of the Japanese people. Manufacturing can make a huge comeback provided certain conditions are implemented and practiced.

6886199008 32449b5e83 n How can Japan bring back manufacturing?

For instance, one does not hear of young entrepreneurs in Japan. It seems fresh graduates tend to join the big multinationals or local conglomerates rather than venture out on their own. Personal growth is not as big as in the U.S. It is always team effort that is encouraged and forcing your way is frowned upon.
Japan should start encouraging their young adults to start dreaming big and being more creative. They should be taught how to be aggressive in business by practicing critical thinking skills, English, and how to not burn out easily.
It’s time for Japan to start coming out with fresh new ideas which they can develop into major products for worldwide distribution. This will give manufacturing a good jumpstart along with the efforts of the Japanese government to consider and discuss free trade agreements.
Right now, the young Japanese have a very creative side which is stifled the moment they are forced to get serious in college. The daring and boldness disappears and in exchange, college students begin to turn into traditional workers and executives.
A very encouraging sign right now is the Manga characters which have crossed borders and begun to be popular in other countries. With the internet, it is easy to see Japanese influence in many arenas like the arts and music.  For this to permeate into the manufacturing industry there has to be a wave of new talent in existing industries like auto and electronics. Thus, it points again to beefing up the creative side of students.

Why do Japanese Manufacturers Make Good Product? (admin posted on February 25th, 2012 )

Whether you are buying baby goods like non-slip cups and dinner aprons, business products, or design models, the best place to get your product or service is from a Japanese manufacturer. So, why do Japanese manufacturers make such good products?

It is in the nature of Japanese people to be thorough. The average Japanese manufacturer is obsessive and a perfectionist. The Japanese people are traditionally very hard working and laziness is frowned upon. This means that most people in Japanese manufacturing plants give 100%.

The history of Japan has a great impact on how Japanese manufacturing plants operate. Japan was a losing side after World War II and the war, especially the bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, left the whole country devastated, both psychologically and in terms of infrastructure. The Japanese people, just like the Germans, made a conscious decision to rebuild and to emerge better off. Japanese manufacturing plants were created in such a way that they would produce quality products that would compete with products from established manufacturing countries.

Japan has among the highest population densities in the world since it is mountainous, rugged, and heavily populated. The country does not have mineral resources of note or a vibrant agricultural sector. This means the country relies heavily on exports. Successive Japanese governments have invested heavily in the manufacturing sector and this is why Japan is a leader when it comes to electronics, cars, and other products.

The average Japanese manufacturer makes the best products in his niche because the country is the cradle of new technology. A case in point is green technology, which is poised to be the next big thing in motor vehicle manufacture. Japan has invested heavily in technical education and there are many universities and polytechnics that are designed to produce the workforce necessary to drive Japanese manufacturing plants. The fact that the average Japanese has a high IQ also helps.
